Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and No Maximum age limit (as on 01/07/2026 for UG)
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories as per government norms; no upper age limit for any category
• Selection Process: Entrance Exam (CLAT 2026) followed by Centralized Online Counseling and Seat Allotment based on merit list and preferences

Undergraduate (5-Year Integrated LL.B.)

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)
• No upper age limit; candidates appearing in qualifying exam eligible
• Admission to 24 NLUs for BA LLB, BBA LLB, etc.

Postgraduate (1-Year LL.M.) 

Approx 1000+

• LL.B. or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
• No upper age limit; candidates appearing in qualifying exam eligible
• Admission to specialized LLM programs in NLUs

Course Details & Fee Structure

• UG Program: 5 Years Duration - Integrated Law Courses (BA LLB, BBA LLB, etc.) with curriculum including legal studies, humanities, and electives
• PG Program: 1 Year Duration - Specialized LLM with focus on areas like Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, etc.
• Fee Structure: Varies by NLU; Annual Tuition Fee Approx ₹1,00,000 to ₹2,50,000; Hostel Fee ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000; Scholarships available for meritorious and reserved category students
• Additional Details: Includes mess charges, library fees; Financial aid and fee waivers for economically weaker sections

Exam Pattern & Competition Analysis

• Exam Type: Offline Pen-Paper Based Test
• Total Questions: 120 Questions for 120 Marks (UG); 120 Questions for 120 Marks (PG)
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:20 (High competition) with over 70,000 applicants for UG seats
• Preparation Time: 6-12 months recommended for comprehensive preparation

• Across India: Major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and others (over 80 centers)
• Center Allocation: Based on preferences selected during application; allocated by Consortium
• Candidates must choose 3 preferred centers; allocation is final and non-changeable
